What is the LG M58T INR21700 cell used for?
The LG INR21700-M58T (M58T) cell is currently one of the highest capacity 21700 standard cells. With a capacity of 5800 mAh and a maximum discharge current of 12.5 A, it is perfect for applications where range and long operating time are a priority:
- ? Electric bicycles (e-bike) – 36 V and 48 V packs. 10S2P pack (20 cells) = ~418 Wh, range up to 40+ km.
- ? Electric scooters – high capacity with low pack weight.
- ? Renewable energy storage (ESS) – photovoltaic energy buffering systems, operating range from −20°C to 60°C.
- ? Tactical and outdoor flashlights – long operating time, wide temperature range.
- ?️ DIY battery packs – a popular choice for custom 21700 nS/mP projects.
- ♻️ E-mobility battery regeneration – replacing worn-out cells with higher capacity ones.
The cells come from dismantling, which means they may show traces of welds. However, these are zero-cycle cells – they have never been used, and their technical specifications fully correspond to brand new products.
In our assortment, we also have brand new cells, which can be found in the "Cells" tab.

Do you need a ready-made battery instead of cells?
The LG M58T cell is a great choice for building your own pack. However, if you are looking for a ready-made solution – check out our batteries:
- Electric bicycle batteries – ready-made 36V and 48V packs for e-bikes
- Additional range-extending batteries – external packs for scooters and e-bikes
- Replacement deck batteries – replacements for popular electric scooters
Safety – important before use
- ⚠️ Unprotected cell – always use a BMS in the pack
- ⚠️ Do not exceed charging voltage of 4.20 V
- ⚠️ Do not discharge below 2.50 V
- ⚠️ Charge on a fireproof surface, do not leave unattended
- ⚠️ Dispose of according to WEEE regulations
What is the voltage of the LG M58T cell?
Nominal voltage: 3.59 V. Max. charging voltage: 4.20 V. Cut-off voltage: 2.50 V. Compatible with devices for 3.6–3.7 V cells.
How many LG M58T cells do I need for an e-bike?
36V 10S2P = 20 cells (~418 Wh, range ~40 km). 48V 13S2P = 26 cells (~557 Wh). 48V 13S4P = 52 cells (~1114 Wh, range 80–100 km).
What is the difference between LG M58T and Samsung 50E?
